4 stars is only for the park - it is beautiful and stroller friendly. The beach is a different story though. It is still a pretty beach but mostly for residents. No non-residents are allowed before 12 am and 6pm even if you pay the parking fee :(
Fortunately I catch no fish , the water was draining out and the fish moved out into the middle of the sea . But I like talking to people and that I did . The people that live there are nice and have a pleasant way of thinking, in a lot of ways they reminds me of me . The trip is worth going to and you will have a very good time in anything you do over there.

Five stars for the open water swimming in the summer, Memorial Day to a week or two after Labor Day. $70 for the season and it's a wonderful experience. 8/10s of a mile short course, 1.25 miles for the long one. Lifeguards in kayaks. Wonderful community event.

The park itself is a great place to come for a walk, have a picnic, or just lay on the grass and look at the beautiful trees- there are multiple benches around. It’s right next to the beach so you can enjoy the view, although it has a relatively high cost for nonresidents who wish to enter that area. Also make sure to visit the ducks in the pond!

High prices for non residents. Only allowed on beach from 12 pm to 6 pm if a non resident. Parking is pricey too. Park is beautiful with views of the water if you want to sit on the grass

Stumble on this place on my drive back home. I noticed a 30 minute delay on 95 and figured it would be a good place to stretch the legs and walk the pup. Bingo! What a surprise. It’s like stepping back in time with a theme park older than Disney. I didn’t go to the park because I think it was closed but the public park on the beach was great and had many squirrels for us to chase. $10 parking but if you go Nov-May I think you can park anywhere for free. The $10 was well worth it as I spent a good couple of hours just enjoying the fresh ocean air and lovely architecture.

A bunch of us in town with family had just dropped kids off for ice skating at Playland. We then walked the boardwalk, and checked out the beach. Great chill spot to look out over the beach and sound. Family all joined lots of choices on the menu for all. Fun scenic bar and patio too.
