Very unfriendly staff. We asked very kindly for a table but were treated very rudely. Would not recommend

Service was done extremely slow, all customers personally knowing the waiters are prioritized. We did not know any of the waiters and had the feeling that we were not deliberately served on time to have a bad experience so that we are not welcomed here again. He treated us pretty unwelcoming also. It took us 1 hour to wait for a spagetti. Muscle Spagetti was sandy. Food quality also does not deserve the price. Only the appetizer plate was good esp. the schrimps but nothing extra. Atmosphere and friendly customer vibe is a plus.

Delightful small bistro, with wonderful stuff and delicious food.

We had two pasta dishes. The first with ham, onion, and tomatoes of spaghetti. The second with tomatoes sauce, and chunks of beef over penne. Both were fantastic, and the portions large. The bread was delicious.

The wait staff was friendly and treated us like old friends.

100% will go back, again and again.

The owner is rude and only cares about the ones, who appear rich to him. Service is below the lowest standards, if you just want to have a meal, like in any other normal restaurant, which it is. The owner tries to present it, like it's something special, which is definitely not the case. The food is good though.

Upd. 01/24: Owner tries to erase negative reviews presumably via a law firm or whatsoever. Just don't be surprised about the real situation there.

Arrived to the place after a long day of conference/fair with a group of 11 very hungry and thirsty people. Eventhough kitchen was closing they let us had an amazing dinner with great starters (gambas, TOP), filleto, pasta and tiramisu for dessert. We had a blast.
Gianni in the kitchen kep on cooking for us untill almost midnight when the kicthen was supposed to close at 10.30 hs... Forza INTER Gianni!!! All staff was great and nice to this big group.. Thanks, Grazie, we had a blast.

The fish soup was very good. The tagiliatla pasta was super. The service was very good

Food & the service is always excellent.
If in Essen, well worth the visit.
Excellent choice of wines as well.
