Although it’s ruins but it’s still magnificent and attractive. It’s marvelous how they made this in over 2000 years ago.

This should be on the bucket list of anyone with and an interest in history, especially that of Alexander or the Near East.

The area is very well maintained with clean restrooms, coffee shops and restaurants a respectful distance from the main site.

Instead of the palace of an “oriental potentate”, you find elegant simplicity and grandeur hewn from stone. A must visit.

Learned a lot about the Achaemenid Empire and what visionary leaders they have. Persepolis stands on a stone base structure, which consists of The Gate of All Nations, Royal Court, Treasury Room, Throne Room, and the King's personal chamber.
