Not just a 'war' museum but a complete overview of the military development during the last centuries and the devastating impact of various military conflicts on this beautifull city. A must visit, along with the handfull other musea in the center. Read my other reviews.

Too small museum, no English descriptions at all, not accepting credit card for tickets.

Really well put together little museum. Good range from the medieval to 20th century. Very fair price for admission. Parking can be a pain, but free parking lots are within a 5 minute walk. A little disappointed that the WW1 exhibit didnt have many English translations, but most of the other exhibits did. Well done.

The history of Tournai is one of war, so right from 1100 through to ww2, you'll delve into the reason for Tournai's strategic importance.

For a massive collection of items there is very little content for English speakers, also you cant go in if you don't have a credit card. They will outright refuse legal tender.
