Brasserie Abtei

I visited here with a friend for Restodays in March 2024. The service was very friendly and professional. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. The lamb shank was one the best we tasted. I look forward to visiting again and trying other dishes.

Ordered quiche and fries to share. Delicious. Great views of the fortress and river. We were there Sunday afternoon even though it showed as closed on Google.
Quite surprised at some of the negative reviews. I agree that the service needs improving. When we sat down outside, we waited patiently, enjoying the view and the sun but when one of the waitresses came by to clear two wine glasses off the table, she managed to drop one and it smashed and I was sprayed with glass. Of course, accidents happen and I took this lightly snd the waitress was very apologetic and we moved to another table but I feel that there's something off with the service... as if they are overwhelmed.
I don't care much for miminy-piminy nitpicking because on the whole, the food was excellent, especially the quiche.
I think this place deserves a second chance and perhaps a staff retraining (or hiring more staff to help) would improve things.
I wish them the best of luck and will return again.

Very rude staff! İt was not impossible to make an order in the terrace. When we wanted to have 2 beers, old lady told us they had to clean the table. We showed the two glasses in the table and said it is not important for us u can give us beers but grumpy old lady said "it is important for us" and didn't accept our orders but go to another table. Maybe she didn't like our way of french speaking or whatever. i advice her to smile and be kind

We went here during resto days and what a lovely experience. We tried their carpaccio and lamb. I dare to say it was one of the best carpaccio I have ever tasted. The service was really nice and all that in beautiful settings of Neimënster Abbey. If it is nice weather, get a table outside

The food was delicious, the staff was super friendly and the sun was out so we also enjoyed the lovely terrace:)

We had an amazing dinner for my son's baptism here. Great food, cosy atmosphere and we were cared for perfectly by service and management.

We had the pleasure of dining Saturday evening for the first time in the restaurant which I understand was redesigned recently. It was a lovely experience from start to finish. The quality and taste of the dishes on the menu were very good and some unique tastes are available.

What really set this restaurant apart was the customer service. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that the evening was an experience and communicating on slight delays. We had plenty of time so no rush. Restaurant was full hence it was normal to wait a bit. It was clear that the owner takes great pride in providing the best possible dining experience for their customers.

The design of the location was also nice but for us a bit too much light. Still it’s a modern and inviting atmosphere. Overall, I recommend the place and will come back.
