Long Beach Landmark Theatre Company

Went to see their production of Rent. It was great! I didn't know about this theatrical company but I'm glad I found them. The seats were comfortable (padded pew) and the view was good.

I've had friends perform here in various musicals, but RENT was the first show I came to see. At first, the idea of doing Broadway shows in a chapel worried me that the show could possibly be edited for content, but I was very surprised. While the downtown, civic center of Long Beach is modernizing, the neighborhood isn't the nicest at night. The venue is amazing, one of the grandest houses of worship I've seen in Long Beach. The performance space may be compact but every space is utilized to it's fullest. The seats are wooden pews, so ....not the most comfortable of surfaces. The production value is beyond that of community theater. These actors showed a level of skill beyond tenured national touring casts I've seen at The Pantages. I'm definitely going back to see future shows.

Beautiful historic church! It is a great job in using this space as a theater without messing with the integrity.

Quality live musical theater performance despite a small stage. I've seen it twice. Watch it for this weekend shows.

Closer than Ever was great. Love the venue and the basket of handmade blankets for chilly evenings was great.
