Entree of calamari and the buratta was great.
Mains
Duck breast . Got 2 tiny pieces of duck. (Not A breast)
Beef shin was good but tiny.
For a $50 main each I would not go back.
Waiter asked if there was an occasion we are there for. 1st year wedding anniversary.
We decided not to get dessert and a plate came out with one scoop of ice cream with a little chocolate thing saying happy anniversary.. never asked for it.
Looked on the bill! They also charged us for this.

What an extremely disappointing experience.
SERVICE:
- We sat for ages waiting to be served, couldn’t get anyone’s attention even when waving my hand up at them, no staff actually actively make eye contact or look out to see if anyone needed service.
- the lady who I believe was assigned to man this side of the room pretty much gave personal service to two specific tables but ignored everyone else including ours. When I mentioned to her we’ve been trying to get peoples attention for awhile she wasn’t happy to hear it and started to walked away from us. Also went silent when told her the seafood platter was too salty.
- everyone at our table had finished our entrees but husband’s salmon still haven’t arrived. Totally forgotten about it / us. Again it’s that Customer service/experience, just not there.
POSITIVE: the blonde staff with hair up who later provided service to us, full of smile, spent time explaining the food, asked if need pepper etc, thank you for being you.

FOOD:
- I had a ‘crispy pork belly’, had to double check my dish as I was expecting a chunky crispy meat but got two slices of what looked like cured red meat. So puzzled.
- pasta was ok, but the mushroom gnocchi had soooooo much salt in them it was an effort.
- seafood platter $175 was overpriced for its quantity and quality. Fish was inedible due to excessive salt, lobster meat was all mushed did not taste fresh, the potatoes in the scallops dish was also inedible due to excess salt. What is with their chef and salt??
POSITIVE: the sides were the highlights - salad, potatoes, chips, all tasted delicious and cooked perfectly. Desserts were great as well.

Walked away after $500 lighter in the wallet, bad service experience, miserable birthday dinner, and now dying of thirst.

Where do I start? The food was amazing! Absolutely did not disappoint. My favourite was the crispy pork belly, I had to order two they were so good I can’t get enough! The seafood platter for 2 or 3 is such a must as well! Kind with the servings and honestly it was so worth it, we were full after eating just over half of it! 1000/10 on the food. To make it even better the service was astronomical, like literally! I didn’t get his name but he was tall with long hair and he was soo well-mannered and kind, he was more like a friend then a waiter and the kind lady that also catered to us! I couldn’t reccomend this place enough especially for special occasions. Will definitely be back soon!

A lovely way to finish a rainy weekend would be to enjoy Summersalt's hospitality over a well executed dinner.

We took advantage of the $59 pp Winter 3 course dinner and were very happy with our meal. The staff were pleasant and responsive. Unhurried and attentive.

Salmon entree was delicate and light. Pork belly was deliciously soft. Both could've been larger as an entree but that's probably just me being greedy for these tasty morsels.

The duck is the standout mains over the spaghetti and the sides are a welcome addition.

Both tira-miso and creme brulee desserts were excellent. Not too sweet or heavy. The miso and the ginger giving complexity to otherwise safe dessert choices.

Lovely spot with a fantastic view, but we couldn't get a window seat because they were all booked. Hopefully, next time we'll manage to get one.

Had a lovely meal here with my wife recently. We have all seafood meals and all were cooked beautifully. The staff were excellent, friendly and attentive. Although much more than what we would normally spend on a meal, it was definitely worth the indulgence on this occasion.
