This was the COOLEST brewery we've EVER been to and can't wait to return again in the future (and next time with our pup, Larry)!
St. Michael's Church served German Catholics up until 2011, when it was abandoned and was then turned into this incredible brewery. It's beautiful inside and they have 32 rotating beers on tap. You can do a tasting if you aren't sure which to choose (which we did).
When we were there, they had a food truck outside and a pop-up tattoo event. We didn't get tattoos, but we thought about it... maybe next time! It seems like they always have awesome events going on so I'd definitely suggest checking out their calendar when planning your visit.
We'll definitely be back!

My second visit to a brewery in an old church, first was Church Brew Works in Pittsburgh, so it's impossible not to compare them. The beers were equally good and overall Ministry of Brewing is a cool place, worth going to, but CBW had food and a better setup and vibe.

What a great vibe! A unique take on a brewery setting Makes for a really fun place to have some drinks. We went around 5 PM, before dinner up the block, and were able to sit right down and order some drinks. If you are in the area and are looking for a fun spot for good beer/cider, I highly recommend.

I don’t think I can say enough good things about this place. First of all, they have a wonderful diverse selection of beers for everyone. To top it off, they are dog friendly! We had such a fun time during their thrift weekend, where we were able to meet with local vendors and do some shopping.

It's lovely architecture, but absolutely no food. It is very weird that babies and toddlers are allowed in an establishment that serves just alcohol. I know it's a brewing is the main focus, but most places have good bar food. Unless you're looking to drink on an empty stomach, don't waste your time. We came, we saw, we left to go get food in less than 10min.

My husband and I were so excited to check this place out! Solid beers (fellow sour lovers: the Esmeralda is excellent) and an incredibly cool spot. It’s also awesome that they regularly have food trucks or you can even bring outside food. Will happily go back when we’re in Baltimore next 🍻

We stopped in on a Sunday mid-afternoon for a couple of beers and had an enjoyable time after hearing about the brewery being in the old church building. It was cool to see how they used the space. The beer was good. Small snacks were available but no kitchen. They do get food trucks some days I believe. They are kid and dog-friendly. There was plenty of seating at tables but only 3 chairs at the bar and we were discouraged from moving table chairs to sit at the bar. Overall good experience.
