Hi Konrad,
I would just like to thank you for your amazing food and service at our wedding .
I have had so many people commenting on how lovely the hog roast was. The canapés were amazing and thank you for making sandwiches for the children.
I can not recommend you highly enough for your friendliness and professionalism. You took all the stress out of catering for the wedding.
The quality and cost of your hog roast package is outstanding.
Will we definitely use your company again for any future ventures.
Thank you again

Kate and Paul
The very happy bride and groom

AVOID THIS COMPANY!

This company let me down at the last minute, it's a joke, do not use them! Dodgy dealers!

I had a booking with cheshire roasts for my wedding which was confirmed about 9 months before the event. I had dealt exclusively with the owner (according to him) Konrad. He was a bit relaxed about everything so I asked for a reference which checked out, then we met up 4 months prior to the wedding to finalise the menu, he seemed genuine so this put my concerns to rest

At that meeting Konrad refused to take any kind of deposit, not even a small amount for food costs up front. This should have set alarm bells ringing maybe, but it didn't.

After the meeting Konrad was supposed to email me the final menu we'd agreed. This never came. I left it a few weeks then chased him for it. This is when it all got very weird. Instead of sending the menu as promised he would reply to my emails with just elements of the menu, I still wasn't that worried at this stage, more just frustrated. This went on for a few weeks, eventually I rang him as I figured I obviously wasn't doing a very good job of explaining what I needed.

No answer. But I few days later I missed a call off his number, and got a strange voicemail from another guy saying he would collect the pig this Saturday. Now, the wedding is in a few weeks, what's this guy on about? I rang back a few times to try and speak to Konrad, I figured maybe a colleague of his had left a message for me in error that was meant for someone else.

Eventually Konrad's number called back, only it wasn't Konrad on the phone, it was another chap who announced himself as Konrad's cousin Martin. At first he told me Konrad was away, that he was looking after his phone while he was away but Konrad would be back in time for my wedding. But when pushed this changed to Konrad has moved out of the country but I wasn't to worry, Martin did the hogs with Konrad, they both owned the company but Martin was going to handle my booking going forward. He said Konrad had done a handover from my meeting with him, it was all fine, it would be sorted, no problem. Ok, I was a bit surprised but ok, things change!

Then he proceeded to ask me some REALLY concerning questions at this point like, when is the wedding, "it's September right?" No, it is July. "What's your surname"... "How many guests was it for?"....mmm I really was getting a bit worried now. He chalked this up to having another Zoe on his books and getting us mixed up, but it was clear from our conversation he had no idea who I was or what I had agreed with Konrad (a lengthy process over several emails!). He asked me to email him the venue address?! And when I would be free to have another meeting.

I did this straight away as I was pretty concerned at this point. A few hours later I got a really rude email, saying that they could not do my wedding anymore, there had been a "miscommunication" apparently Konrad was supposed to have contacted me before.

1. I'd been emailing "Konrad" for weeks. Getting odd responses back from him yes but getting responses FROM HIM. I now realise these were being sent by Martin who now claims to have no record of my booking due to this "miscommunication" but had happily replied to my emails?! He could have contacted me WEEKS ago and let me know there was an issue

2. This is a few weeks from my wedding! No real explanation, no apology (initially, once I mentioned Internet reviews I got a grovelling email). I am currently scrambling round other companies but everyone is fully booked because it's such short notice!

3. Is Martin even who he says he is, because in the email he spelled Konrad's name wrong! I mean their supposed to be cousins who ran a business together but he can't spell the bloke's name?!

4. only found out they weren't doing my wedding because I chased THEM! If I had not when were they going to tell me?! Was the plan to just not show up on the day?!

Basically huge scam artists in my opinion. Do not book them for your event and be messed around, lied to and let down like I have!
