Small and quaint. Wobbly table. No bread or salad with meal. Very pricey. Daughter had lobster ravioli. Supposed to have crab meat on top. Dish came without. I mentioned to waitress who came back, said we were right but out of crab, they could add some lobster which was fine. But had we not spoken, they were still charging $29 for the dish of 6 ravioli. I had paella. Portion large. But rice was bland and fishy. Very disappointed. Husband had to ask for tarter sauce for fish and chips. Not served with cole slaw. I thought I heard next table offered free desserts for the mothers for mother's day but I wasn't given the same courtesy. Overall...over priced and not worth the trip.

I really hate giving a bad review. I was trying to convince myself not to but after my wife read other poor reviews that coincided with our experience, I’d like to echo ours and share the treatment received by management. The take away here is if a business establishment can’t work with a patron to at least try to accommodate them, that’s totally fine, but at least be nice and professional about it. Don’t ever make someone feel unwelcome, you end up loosing them and their friends.
My wife and I wanted to book a party of 15-20 people and expected to work on a better price point with the restaurant. The website offers a pre-set 3 course menu for $50pp but when we reached out to reserve, we got quoted $55. We asked why and were told it was for special occasions that had already past and it was now outdated, etc. Fine, but you should make it clear on the site, or take it down if it doesn’t apply anymore, or how about maybe honor the price online, nope. This felt more like misrepresentation. We asked if they can work on a more simple food option to accommodate something in the $40-50pp range or maybe meet at the middle. We offer to be flexible and downgrade the menu if needed in order to accommodate the new pricing. You would think management would want your business and would at least offer the $50pp, but no not a single sign of wanting to work with you, and again that’s fine, it’s your business. The tone and the salty attitude, on the phone and via text was very distasteful, probably just like their food, like other commenters called it being “lackluster”. The choice of words and analogy used to express that we aren’t spending enough or not worth their wild was unprofessional.
The upsetting experience will refrain us from ever coming back. Instead of working with us “Gary” choose to tell us in other words that we weren’t spending enough money, that it’s a Saturday at 2:30pm and the restaurant will be at its peak. Other reviews seem to indicate otherwise.
To read through the other comments and see others use words like “rude”, lack of service despite the restaurant being empty, not worth the money” among other comments, just makes us feel better that we will be bringing our business elsewhere where are business is more appreciated. Gary even agreed for us to go elsewhere but his two word reply, “good choice”. The only money I would spend at this restaurant would be to send a particular staff member to Hospitality Staff Training to teach how to be friendly and welcoming.

We had my sister’s rehearsal dinner at Hudson Anchor and it was lovely. Such a cute space, affordable, and not to mention delicious. Everyone was stuffed! Gary was extremely accommodating and responsive to assist with planning the event at his restaurant. My family and friends had a lovely time and I would absolutely love to go back once it gets a little warmer out and have drinks/dinner on the rooftop deck!

Delightful and cozy restaurant with delectable dishes! White sangria, New England clam chowder, calamari, and Lobster Ravioli in Vodka Sauce were all excellent choices. We would have loved to sit on the outside deck if the weather was better., but we still had a great time upstairs. The menu options looked incredible and our server provided exceptional service. We enjoyed Tartuffo for dessert at the recommendation of our server.

Beautiful view, delicious food and great service. Had the “Social Distance and Chill” drink. Festive and fruity. Enjoyed the burger and fries. Best part was the friendly service. Patrick was welcoming and helpful. Our first time but not our last. A lovely date-night place for my husband and me.

We were seated on the covered roof top with a view of the Hudson. The food was very good. We had mussels in garlic and wine sauce & a spinach artichoke mushroom dip which was excellent. Our waiter Ray was great attentive, friendly & just a great waiter. Our Busboy was also fantastic, I didn’t get his name. It was my birthday and they surprised with May favorite ice cream “tartufo”. I definitely am going back and suggest you try it.

WARNING ⚠️, this place is an economic scam. Let's start with the things they don't tell you. An automatic 20% gratuity is added to your check for parties of five or more. Our family has two adults two teenagers and one 3-year-old. They considered five meals being five people. They have no children's menu. We had to ask for a small side of pasta for our 3-year-old. They considered that a meal and added the automatic gratuity. Scam number one.
They also advertise on their chalkboards outside and before entering the restaurant, (picture included) and on small chalkboards on the second floor, that during "Happy Hour" from 3:00 to 5:00 daily you will receive 20% off all of your entire bill including alcoholic beverages. What's not disclosed on any of the signs, and what no waiter or staff tell you, is that this "Happy Hour" deal only applies if you're sitting at the bar. Scam number two.
My family's lunches were well prepared and came out timely. This is the only reason they'd receive even one star. My Anchor Burger, ordered rare, took some extra time and did not come out with the rest of the table. When it finally arrived, it was well done - as in burnt. We're not splitting hairs on medium versus medium-well. We're talking about a burger that should have been rare, and was a hockey puck.
No children's menu.
You should also be aware that they automatically add a 3% credit card charge to your bill.
For lunch for two adults, two teens and a toddler, we wasted over $151 dollars. NEVER AGAIN.
