I orderedover the phone stillhad a wait....then I get home and no tarter sauce for my order of fish!!! Who dthen i calledthemand the personsaid you have to ask for it!!!!!!oes ketchupwith fish????!!!!

It's like the Ole Dairy twist back in the '60s. It's the best burger I have had in a long time. Also, the soft ice cream is what it used to be. I had a butterscotch and peanut butter shake before, and both were great. You need to go if you haven't been, and you like soft ice cream, good old-fashioned burgers, or footlong hot dogs.

We used the outside window to order some shakes. The oreo crumble was great!
There was a katydid in the window. Fun place!

Not much to look at but the cheeseburger and cajun fries were excellent!! Shakes were great too!

Snack shack is a great place to eat hang out with the locals the food is the best if you can think of it they probably have it.

I have been stopping by the back shack for over 40 years.
I love the style on the inside.
We used to cruise Mount Vernon when we were kids the town would basically be a line from Napa parking lot to the other end.
Waving at friends getting girls and listening to something on 98.1 WKQQ LEXINGTON radio station and blasting it out the window.
We would stop by the SNACK SHACK for shakes.
Mount Vernon is home to the Rockcastle County Rockets.

Food is usually spot on, but I tried the new mushroom swiss burger. Definitely a big mistake. The gravy was gloppy like paste and the burger was overcooked so badly that it was hard
