Not a huge venue. We were in the last row, and could still see the performers just fine. The venue itself is older, with some cool decor. Staff was helpful. The empress is right there, and connects through the hall. For our show we were allowed to bring the drinks in

Always love the Crest theater, so gorgeous. Acoustics were great. Downstairs bar is a little inconvenient, but not really. Just leave yourself a little time to get a drink.

I was horrified by the lack of security at this venue. This is a mass shooters paradise.
The seats here are extremely close to one another with almost no legroom.
I was pretty impressed with the decor and styling of the building. Also a great bar downstairs!!

the venue was super hot even Cristela Alonzo said th4 same thing,it was super hot, everyone took their paper, anything to fan themselves, if it wasn't for Cristela we had already left. to be honest it was like 90 degrees inside the theater. I'm saying this so you guys know how it is to be in there while it is 113 degrees outside atleast we expect 70s inside or some breeze for us to be comfortable.

The crest. Is an awesome old movie theater. That has been restored. They still show movies. But I have only been there for live shows. The staff have all been super friendly. The decor is very ornate, and the seats are pretty comfortable. Parking and walking through downtown Sacramento is a bit of an adventure. But it's worth it for the shows I've seen.

Terrible Venue crowd control. No security at all. 2 Drunks screaming at the top of their lungs, raging profanity, no sign of any security. Pretty much ruined a good pink floyd show. Judging by the grumbling, in the crowd I'm not alone. A waste of time and money.

We saw Judy Collins from row PP (5 rows from the top.) She sounded wonderful, acoustics and amplification seemed great, but binoculars were needed to see her face. The theater is beautifully vintage, quite a hike to the top with no landings or handrails. We didn’t bother repeating the hike at intermission. Seating is comfortable and fairly roomy. We were perfectly centered, but next time we’ll try to sit closer to the stage even if we have to be off to one side. I don’t think there’s anywhere with a bad line of sight. Never been for a movie, don’t know how big a screen is used.
