I was here for an event and we walked up to the rooftop. You could see an American flag with the US Capitol building behind it. It's quite a good spot for political-related events. After the speeches and stuff, we took a short walk to the actual building. If you are in DC and can get this spot, I'd go for it.
Like all longtime residents of the DC metro area, we know how hard it can be to find wedding venues with great views of the city's most iconic monuments, memorials and buildings. So places like Capitol View at 400 that do give you a closeup look at DC's most famous landmarks are really something special. In the case of this venue, the name tells you everything you need to know. Perched on the top floor of a building a few blocks from the US Capitol, this location makes you feel like you could reach out and touch the famous dome. And the best part is that Capitol View at 400 also offers you so much more. The rooftop space can be covered or left open, meaning you can stay comfortable if the weather is bad or enjoy the fresh air if DC's climate cooperates. Definitely recommend this wedding venue!
This space is PERFECT for weddings. The rooftop has an amazing view of Washington D.C. and this venue has endless possibilities. I shot a Fall Wedding here and it was breathtaking.

Wedding event: views of all the monuments, cozy place...great location
This place has great views of union station and the capital. Not the best location and set up to host an event but overall it’s ok.
We just had a fabulous wedding at this venue. The view is beautiful. They have a parking garage underneath the building and you do have to go through the lobby of the new stations to get to the reception spot but well worth it. We had around 100 people which fit the space perfectly. Delmy the venue coordinator is so wonderful to work with. The space offers multiple options for your cocktail hour set up. The restrooms are far from the space just something to be aware of. I would suggest making signs it is downstairs or have a designated person showing guests where to go (this was something our planning team did).
I HIGHLY recommend The Capitol View at 400 for your wedding day! You get so much more here than most DC venues. A longer day, a wider space, a spectacular view AND staff that go above and beyond to make your day incredibly special! It's the perfect location for a fine art DC wedding!
