No passé works of art in exhibitions at the Daura Museum of Art! Traveling exhibits will challenge your mind and perhaps your way of thinking. Their dynamic permanent collection is relevant and often on display. Daura is housed in one of the few modern buildings on the University of Lynchurg campus and is situated near Hopwood Hall, the University’s oldest building.

Inside, contemporary gallery space offers undistracted browsing. Visitors could easily engage in the entire space for a quick 30 minutes, but be prepared to want to linger. Be sure to check out the lower level theater lobby where you might find student art, illuminated Spanish texts, political posters, and so much more. No admission charge!

I had never seen a play or musical here before. It was my first time. The student ushers and staff were great.

The art galleries are excellent as well so check it out when you have free time to do so.
