I didn't realize this museum was as big as it is; I only had time to see about half their collection, but what I did see was truly impressive. Definitely don't miss out on the florescent display, and the petrified wood that's one of the first things you see as you walk back is incredible, as is the scrimshaw.

Their prices in the gift shop are almost too good to be true, but I mentioned it and the gentleman working there said that since they're a nonprofit museum they want to make sure things are priced accessibly, which is really cool.

I'm so bummed I wasn't able to do the sluice grab bag activity, it looks like so much fun! I'll have to make time for that next time I come.

This museum is awesome! We weren't expecting it to be as large as it was but it took us atleast a hour to get through the whole thing. So many great artifacts to see & learn about. They have done a great job at educating local history. We went on kids day and son(11yr old) had a blast doing the scavenger hunt. We can't wait to come back! Thanks for a great experience 😃

Absolutely awesome rocks and minerals. The prices were very reasonable for the size and quality. I went when they were having a show.i don't remember the gentleman's name, but he was nice and knowledgeable.

What a gem of a museum! Definitely add to your activity itinerary when visiting Ashland. The staff is friendly and highly knowledgeable about each exhibit in the museum.

Walk in and you will be hooked! As a newer rockhounder, this place is an inspiration to keep going on adventures and see whether you find. They have taught me so much and I continue to keep learning more!

The Crater Rock Museum is really cool, they have lots of amazing and interesting exhibits. Mother nature is amazing and this place has so many different kinds of rocks and formations along with hand made item from various stones & rocks.

You enter through the gift shop (lot of neat things to see in there too) then you pay to enter the museum. They give you a map so you can take your time walking around all the rooms.

Cost $14 for 2 people. WELL WORTH IT! We spent over an hour here.

Parking if free, they have a small parking lot. But we did see a Class a RV parked there.
