Birdsboro preserve is an interesting blend of abandoned roads and beautiful scenery.

Some trails definitely not for mtb beginners, steep in some areas, perfect size occasional rocks for lil jumps, would definitely go again

This place is excellent. Beautiful. You're gonna want to park at Old 82 trailhead in my opinion. It's a closed down highway which is now a graffiti highway which is quite cool as well. It leads to the trailhead going up to the Birdsboro Reservoir. The trail is nice, not difficult. Can get soupy at parts after the rain FYI . But the reservoir itself is a little slice of heaven. It's entirely pine-lined so it's all evergreens around the water. The reservoir perimeter trail is just excellent, including the very cool dam structure with walkable stone spillways. I walked around it a few times and just took in the nature. I think this place is worth the trip, especially if you're already in the area for French Creek or something. But Birdsboro Preserve is worth the 1hr drive from Philadelphia alone in my opinion.

Thought I was at the wrong spot when I pulled in. Only enough parking for a few cars. You can park along side of the road and it is definitely worth the ride. Trails are easily marked, walk around the lake which is surrounded by huge pine trees, rock climbing too!

Beautiful graffiti paved paths give way to broken roads and curved guard rails. Below a slow stream where people go to fish. And up in the winding unpaved paths is a hidden lake woth a dock surrounded by trees that cast everything in an ethereal green hue. Definately worth checking out this old part of 82.

Great place for hiking, biking, bouldering, fishing, photography and so much more. Absolutely love the varied environments and different kinds of trails and activities. Lots to explore and leaves are beautiful in the Fall. Make a day of it.
