You have to try the chunky monkey! It was the most refreshing smoothie I've had since being here 🧉 Their pink pancakes were really good and not over filling 💓 Our waitress was very helpful with the fruit platter. There is plenty to share at the table and if you want bananas they can add them.
The restaurant is pretty and right on the water. The food is good but you can get better for the money. Come here for the view. I did not try their pink pancakes for what they are known for so keep that in mind.
Pricy, but average food. Fantastic view is the only valuable thing there.
The staff at Surf Lanai was very friendly and pleasant. The atmosphere was wonderful. We were sat at a table with beach views. The breakfast food was very good. I got the Pink Palace Pancakes & Grilled Ham. My husband got the Pink Palace Pancakes and Bacon. The mixed Berry Pancakes with butter, toasted coconut and Haupia Sauce was all sweet and tasty. The ham gave the right amount of salt the balance the sweet. I'd recommend Surf Lanai for breakfast.
Loved the pink pancakes. I ordered pink pancakes, bacon, and an egg as a light breakfast for two before we began activities. The service was great. Our table gave a great view and a nice breeze. We didn’t feel rushed after finishing breakfast. Total was a little under $45 before tip. While I wouldn’t pay that for breakfast on the mainland, it’s HAWAII!
The Surf Lanai is located inside the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, right on Waikiki Beach. It has a very beautiful, scenic oceanfront view. I like starting the morning in Waikiki Beach, enjoying a full American breakfast & Bloody Mary. It is nice to sit outside, eat breakfast, appreciate the view, and observe all the people busily walking on the beach as they start their own day. It's makes me feel like I am REALLY on vacation! 🌴🥥🌺
DO NOT GO! Mad overpriced, very poor selection of food, no fresh juices.

My friends did not really enjoy their breakfast. I was the only one who somewhat liked it, and just because I adjusted it to my needs, luckily, they were able to accommodate it.
On the menu, they had bagels with lox, and I do not like bagels, so I asked to replace the bagel with a slice of regular toasted bread, which came out perfect and very tasty.
It is very odd that the hotel breakfast spot does not have fresh juices. They only have juices from the carton boxes.
The server was a bit intrusive, but she helped me to change my order and with some other extra requests. So it was not as bad.
I would not rate this place for more than 3 points. The menu is very weak; they do not have fresh juices, and the food, overall, was not good for the money you pay.

Pretty cool location directly next to Waikiki Beach. Also very high quality menu and the standard American breakfast. Eggs Benedict is pretty good, although the Avocado and Tomatoes Benedict is really bad, just not a good combo. The bagel was really tasty but the oatmeal tasted a bit bland. They have good coffee but no hot chocolate which is sad. There also could be a better wifi. The service was really funny and also fast.
