This was a pretty cool place to visit on a late Thursday evening for a quick bite to eat. And I will say we were VERY HAPPY with the food we received. Our server was Emily she's amazing VERY helpful with helping us choose of the menu. Very bubbly personality she gave top notch customer service. I would give The Rook Manayunk a 10/10. Would HIGHLY SUGGEST

Nice atmosphere, boring beer list, fine food. Bad business practices though, was there once last week and yesterday, and they don't give an itemized bill. If you work in the restaurant industry, you know how extremely shady this is. You could be charging me for anything at any cost. Just list what was ordered and how much it is, what are you hiding Rook? Watch your checks, people.

Went in late night to share a burger with hubby + grab a drink at the bar. Draft was at a perfect temperature and bartender was very attentive + friendly. Will def visit again since it’s walking distance from our house!

What an amazing little place in the middle of the neighborhood.

The food was great, the bartenders were attentive, the clientele was respectful. A mixed crowd of families, singles and couples scattered the place on a Sunday afternoon.

Drinks and food were well priced too.

You should go here!

Grabbed martinis at the Rook to round out our first evening while staying in Manayunk. Drinks were tasty and strong, service was fast, and Christmas vibes were nice. Would come back.

Came here before at night but the crowd of people scared me away(I hate crowds sorry)
We came here again during happy hour and was delighted by the chill vibes and friendly service. Their happy hour special bangs so you should def come here then,
The food was thoroughly enjoyed especially the Brie, jam, and crisp bread. Yum.
French onion soup was good as well, and my friend stuck to his loyalty to burgers but it was good as well.
Overall good experience, will be coming back and my server was very sweet too.
She had a very detailed tattoo on her arm. Hope you get this credit you were awesome.

Was looking for a spot to get a drink and munchies food after a show and stumbled across this place on a Thursday night. The decor is very nice inside and we noticed they have an outdoor seating area as well. Nice assortment of alcohol and glasses. The barmaid was very nice and she doesn't sleep on them DRINKs. ..she makes them just the way I like it! The menu is very interesting with the names and food items. Makes you want to try a little bit of everything! Did I mention they have a nice wine list? I got side tracked, back to the food. The sweet chili wings were delicious. Cooked the way wings are supposed to be cooked and all that extra sauce was finger licking Good. I ordered these onion rings that were baked with bacon, cheese and Sriracha sauce OMG they are delicious!! Spicy 🔥 that's the sauce. The only reason I gave the food 4 stars is the sodium level is HIGH. Other than that I will be back to try something else.
