In case the blaring, obnoxious lights on the facade weren't enough to turn you off of this place, the other reviews - in combination with the owners abhorrent behaviour on twitter - hopefully will. Too bad, would have been nice to have a local place to watch actually good films, but I guess I'll stick to the Revue.

Great retro movie theatre , it is better then a lot of the main stream movie mega theatres . The theatre is in a good location however the reason for the 4.0 stars are as follows -0.5 stars as the sound quality needs improvement, -0.5 stars as they do not have nachos . However the overall experience is quit exceptional .

The best thing is that advertisement are only 3 minutes long . Solid theatre .

I've been here a few times and it has always been really fun. Great location, plenty of parking in the area, and enjoy the old school throwback to when you could really enjoy movies, especially ones from back in the day that you can never get at a Cineplex.

I saw some negative reviews and it's hilarious how some would judge a business by social media posts instead of the experience. If you want politics go to parliament, you want a fun night out at the movies then hit the Kingsway for a night. I love local, independent theatres for the unique experience.
We went in the middle of summer so it was very hot but it was also very cool to be the only one in the theater as it was very quiet.
It was very hot and the sound was a little too loud. The seats r so comfortable and the hotdogs were very warm and tasted good and the drinks were cold and refreshing and because not many people know about it we were the only ones in the theater and you can bend the seats ur in and infront to be comfy

Reasonably priced cinema where they make nice cocktails and excellent hot dogs and even deliver them to you in the cinema.

I saw Kinds of Kindness which was challenging but well made with wonderful performances .

Parking can be a challenge but it's worth it . It's a lovely old cinema !

This is an old time theatre with a retro vibe. The Kingsway Theatre opened in 1939 and still retains its old charm. We had a good experience owner/manager was helpful and kind. The washrooms were clean and the theatre retained its charm. The sign on the door says the doors open 15 minutes prior to the movie starting. There is a confection bar with the usual treats. Please support local independent theatres.

Going to theatre to watch the movie is the most authentic way that cannot be replaced by any home theatre or online-streaming. If you want the young generation to know the meaning of watching the movie in the threatre, this theatre is one of those we shouldn't miss! Very tidy and the staff is so friendly!

The screen maintenance is excellent! Though the theatre decor is vintage, but the movie screens are the most updated one! Also, you wouldn't see any dust and stain out of a sudden pop up during the movie. They really put effort to make sure we all have a great experience to enjoy the movie. Compared to some Cineplex theatres, you would realize how come there is dust or stain on the actor's face out of a sudden while playing the movie...
