Lovely and quiet walk to some impressive and large locks. Seems a bit of a shame that they don't look like they have been well kept and there doesn't appear to be any information or signage about the area.

Beautiful old heritage locks. Looked gorgeous in the bright may sunshine today. Even saw a pair of moorhen nesting in a quiet area of the locks.

Excellent walk, from just past Blue bridge down to the locks, cross & back up to bridge on the other side. Would be good if there was some proper parking.

Set in a beautiful location with lots of wildlife in and around the locks. The lock keepers are very friendly and have a good knowledge of The River Weaver and surrounding area. All that's missing are a few benches to sit down and take in the view, and maybe a place to buy drinks. This could be a business opportunity for someone!☕️🍵😄

It was lovely and peaceful here. The lock keeper had put a bowl of water out for the dogs.

Nice view. Water is stagnant at some places. Nice cycle trek and walking trench.

A great place to go after walking through Vale Royal Wood. Plenty of history if you look including the Cholmondeley coat of arms on the big block of sandstone next to the locks themselves. Lots of wildlife to see. The area is supposed to be haunted by the ghost of Ida the nun! See Vale Royal Abbey also. You can cross the river via the footbridges across locks.
