Manor Farm Recreation Ground

I now travel 12 miles/ISH to Manor Farms! Why? I don't have to actually "Pick my Own " fantastic fruit, I pay have a coffee and cake in the Tea room and trundle back 12 miles. A habit of 20 years.

It's a lovely place to take your dog a walk around

Good sized open space with playground and football pitches. Easily accessible from many entrances

An open plain, a nice place. Can get muddy. Cricket and bowls clubs and a welcome place for children upon the park. Well lit paths and close to river Erewash I believe separating Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

Great outdoor nature area..park for the children to play.trampoline..slides..rope swings..monkey bars..a stream to catch tiddlers..open grassed area for dog walking..football..lovely place to visit away from the built up areas

Kept clean, football and cricket pitches ,play area (fenced off for Safety) for smaller children, basketball/ 5 aside pitch, pleasant walk by the river or through the trees

Great little walk for the dogs along a small shallow river. Natural beaches perfect to let the dogs wade through on a hot day. River seems in good health with barbel often spotted in the deeper parts.

One of the few things in the vicinity that has not been monetised. If you want fresh air and refreshing surroundings pay it a visit. I did resent the electricity company carving down 4 beautiful massive mature trees just in case they might damage the lines. They were no where near and there was no chance, but timber is getting valuable right and they certainly did not leave it here.
