The building was getting painted while we were there. One half wasn't visible in its grandeur. The public entry is relegated to a small door on the side of the building so some of the awe of the architecture is lost when you can't see what the builders intended. Overall, still a worthwhile visit.

It is one of the most beautiful buildings in Atlanta. Visited with family and friends during our recent visit to Atlanta. Immaculately maintained building, as well as the surrounding park.

It was a wonderful experience to go through the museum,ñ with an insight into the history of Georgia. Some portions were closed due to renovation. Added attraction was visiting the Senate and House Galleries, which are open for public on specific days and time.
There is no entree fee.
A must visit.

Completely free but not a lot to do. The architecture was very pretty to admire and they have some exhibits mostly on the 4th floor. One of the wings was under construction making nearly half of the building inaccessible despite that there were still some interesting artifacts and displays. There is no official museum entrance or anything you just walk around the building to find the public entrance, go through security and then essentialy can just wander around the building all for free.
Free to get in but we timed it bad there was construction all over the place and a lot of display was took down to keep them safe (and I do understand that gotta keep them safe)

Not a whole lot to see here. On the outside of the building there are a few statues that were interesting, especially Jimmy Carter and MLK.

I liked seeing the rooms where the House and Senate met. My favorite part of the Capitol was the fourth floor and all the museum-like cases they had. There was a lot of information on the history of Georgia, the wildlife, and the various state symbols (flower, bird, etc.).

It's worth a visit, don't expect to spend more than an hour.

Beautiful place.. I had the pleasure of Catering for "Fulton County Day" and the people here was very nice. I hadn't been since I was a kid and it still looks great. My company provided Gourmet food for about 400 people and the response was amazing.. thank you for the opportunity.

Tbh one of the better state capitols I've ever been to! The museum on the 3rd floor covers everything from minerals/gems/soil of Georgia to political history to agg and more!

Wish they would cover the history of the flag a bit more and open the galleries to visitors.

Best part was the taxidermied native Georgia scenes with explanations!!!
