Lovely beach, was clean and some nice shops here too. A must see if wanting to find fossils!

Wow, what a location. I knew this was going to be popular but I didn't expect it to be as popular as it was.
Found parking quite easy, first couple of car parks were full, found one right down the bottom in what looks like an overflow. This had plenty of spaces thankfully.
Beach and heritage centre were amazing. So much to see and learn about. Only a short visit this time due to also wanting to visit Lyme Regis the same day but we will be back again.

Charmouth is a stunning village with a lovely beach. Dog friendly over the bridge and a lovely walk up the south coast path. The visitors centre is brilliant with a little cafe, a couple of shops and the toilets all in one area.

Absolutely beautiful place to visit! The beach isn't very good if you have mobility problems as its made up of large stones, especially at the top of the beach.
Got a couple of cracking little shops there and a nice little cafe.
Well recommend 👌

Heritage centre worth a visit, small but some nice displays. The toilets are grotty, old stainless steel ones, but they worked! The cafe is a bit basic, but the food was ok, the kids enjoyed the chips. Parking right down by the beach was good and cheaper than those in Lyme Regis, but take change as we spent 15mins trying to make the sodding app work and failed! Found some lovely little fossils down on the beach.

a wonderful spot to become really Jurassic! we parked in the village car park and walked down, it's quite a steep walk but easier than the beach carparks, and there's toilets and card payment! make sure to wear sensible shoes and bring a hammer to break open any fossils you find!!

Great place for a walk or to take the children for a day out. Good parking with toilets near by. Stone and Sand beaches. Clean sea.
