Loved this intimate museum! Its focus is mainly on the bush pilot aspect of Canadian aviation history with some focus on local/regional experiences. There is also some military content. While I always love looking at aircraft in museums, it was the stories that took my breath away. Absolutely worth the visit. Nice, well-stocked gift shop too ;)

This museum is a must-see!
The knowledgeable volunteers provide an engaging and informative experience by sharing the history of the exhibits in a storytelling format. I highly recommend listening to the volunteers, such as Steve, rather than simply reading the informational boards. This approach makes the experience more enjoyable and memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend this museum to everyone.

A beautiful museum full of cool Canadian planes that's an easy walk from the airport and airport hotels. Well laid out with informative information plaques and helpful staff. A great stop before a flight!

If you are a plane enthusiast, plane spotter, etc, or simply want to visit museums, come to the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada. It's interesting seeing planes that have all an interesting story to tell. You won't be disappointed, grab a souvenir from the gift shop; and don't forget to check the runways. You can see planes landing and play around with the different cameras around it.

Nice new aeroplane museum to see! I've seen their collection before in the old hanger and it looks even better in the new building with more space, airport access for visiting aircraft like the Lancaster Bomber this week and interpretive centre. Some rare aircraft and some rare replicas which tell the history of bush flying in Canada. Worth a visit if you are in Winnipeg for a layover as its walking distance to the airport terminal.

Was amazing reading about and seeing all the old planes. Helpers knew their stuff and answered all the questions. Little play area to keep kids entertained and a couple planes they could go inside to explore.
