You would be doing yourself a favor to spend some time exploring these trails. Coor/Montano also, the Nature Center(South of Montano)area along with the Los Ranchos(North of Montano)*east side on river* all the way the Paseo and back on both sides of the river. Look for ditch bank corridor*hidden gem* approximately 2.5 hours(depends on pace) round trip from Coors and Montano parking lot.

Walking and hiking trails along the Rio Grande river. Very scenic and most of the area is kept in its natural state. If you enjoy nature this a great place to enjoy the outdoors.

I did this hike mid December, and it was beautiful. There were horses, people walking dogs, and bikers but I only saw about one of each. It wasn’t very crowded at all. Loved the trails that led to the river. Loved seeing the cotton woods. The views of the Sandia’s are nice as well. Parking on Sunday can be sparse because the church uses that area for overflow parking.

This trail is absolutely beautiful! We were visiting some friends in Albuquerque who had just moved there and we were looking for outside activities to do with kids (ages 2 up to 12). This trail was beautiful and a fairly easy walk. My 71 year old mom with bad knees walked a good way with us without idsue. I wish the tail markers were in better shape it was not super easy to tell which trail led where.

There was a lovely view of the mountains, and had we know the right trail to take, there is a nice view of the Rio Grande as well. My husband went and took a peek as we got my mom back to the car.

All in all, if we lived in the area, we would be here all the time!

I love how you feel like you're far away from the city! What a peaceful trail!

This is a nice place to come for a quiet walk and enjoy nature. There are a lot of different types of birds, wildflowers, insects, and plant life. Along the trails are a couple of benches and tables. There aren't really any trash cans around- please don't leave your trash behind! There are no restrooms on site and all dogs must be leashed. The water level is low so it's a perfect time to explore the river bed! I don't know of I'd go back to the trails alone though. At one point along the trail there looked to be a homeless camp :(

Peaceful and beautiful especially early morning. Lots of trails to walk; paved and dirt. If you are lucky you might see a coyote or porcupine. Lots of beautiful birds. Some mornings the hot air balloons fly overhead.
