Quaint and cozy hot pot restauraunt. You're definitely not starved for choices in the Silver Star Blvd. area, but I can definitely attest that Yabu Shabu is definitely worth a visit especially if you're fiending for jp style hot pot and Japanese dishes, as well.

Got the hot pot set with the spicy miso broth and premium brisket-- it was filling, incredibly rich, plenty of veggies and other add-ons included, and all for a very fair price as well! The serving size is just perfect to have it all to oneself, but it would be good for sharing along with some sides as well. I loved the personal stove and presentation of it as well. Looking forward to visiting again for more, and I'd definitely like to try more on the menu! Definitely don't regret dropping by on a whim, they might just be my new favorite restauraunt in the area!

The food was delicious, especially the oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl)! Spent around $100 for 3 people, which included a shabu shabu, udon, oyakodon, 3 small meat skewers, and sakura mochi.

The all-in one don was flavourful and yummy.
The food came out nice and hot.
Portions were good as well.
It wasn't busy on a Sunday afternoon.
I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere.

Didn’t love the flavour of the sukiyaki broth. The pork bowl was a bit better on the flavour profile but portion size was very small. The service was mediocre at best. High top seating very uncomfortable.

I like the concept of individual hot pots, so that people can just order the broth they like. I got the beef brisket as my protein and it was just regular hot pot meat, so no complaints there. The pot ranges from $20-$45 depending on what filling you get (least expensive is vegetarian, most expensive is wagyu) so the beef brisket was mid-$20's which I think is worth it bc I was super full. I also shared takoyaki with my friend, and it was a bit subpar bc it was mostly dough and not too much octopus inside. For drinks I got the smashed lemon black tea which I recommend for anyone who likes HK lemon tea, and my friend got the jasmine matcha latte with raisins. Except it didn't come with raisins so we were disappointed but also secretly not 😂 they also seem to have some nice udon dishes that I might come back to try. Service was really friendly. I didn't like that your clothes smell like kitchen afterwards, so try not to wear anything fancy or non-machine washable.

No wonder why this place has no business on a Sunday. While the photos may look okay to you, the sukiyaki pot has everything served in the pot. How am I supposed to split the protein out and cook them piece by piece as suggested? The coconut chicken pot is not worth the money either. Pretty sure they simply chopped the drumsticks and that’s it. Definitely not worth the price. Service is not very good either. I had to ask for egg as dipping for the sukiyaki pot, while that’s standard and they even said in their menu that it should be expected.

Hands down to one of the best Asian fusion mini-pot and Japanese style food place Yabu Shabu. The place really understands that hot pot culture is not only for a certain food lovers but everyone has a craving for it. The personalized size bowls are huge and so flavorful. You ca create your own hotpot servings. We’ll definitely come back again. The cozy environment is perfect for date ideas or family get together. Lots of parking.

We came here in party of 2 and got the Thai Spicy& Sour Shrimp as starter, the Szechuan Spicy Shabu and the Tomato Beef Shabu as mains, and two drinks. Overall the food was great and the service was fast and friendly.

Pros:
- Great food
- Nice presentation
- Fresh ingredients

Cons:
- Restaurant has no sign currently as it's soft opening, place was not easy to find
