Nice clean beach with refreshing water.

It's a nice place to relax at waterside. Just note that the beach is made from tiny rocks, not sand
Great spot to swim or have young kids play in shallow water searching for little fish. Wearing water shoes is recommended but not entirely essential. It's more a rocks and pebbles area rather than sand. If planning on a long stay, take an umbrella and arrive early to find parking. Parking has no shade really to speak of.

Beach is 1h walking from Coimbra center. On the beach there are many small but sharp stones. The water wasn’t very clean either. There are few foodtracks with alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, ice-cream etc. Fortunately there are trees that gives shadow on sunny days
Really nice river beach close to the city center. Be advised that the sand is quite coarse (more like gravel/small pebbles) so try to bring adequate footwear. In the designated area for swimming (with a lifeguard) the water depth is low... Waist deep for an average sized adult. Can get a bit crowded but it is definitely worth a try :)
