Matina Town Square

A place where you can dine, chill and have fun. If you're looking for a place to dine, esp. at night, MTS is perfect to visit. There's a lot of restaurant/cafe selections to choose from and can even enjoy the live bands at Taboan, The Commons, Boondocks, etc.. There's also a mini park where your little ones can enjoy while you're hanging out with friends.

I recently stayed at this location, and I must say it's a fantastic place. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and impeccably clean. Moreover, its proximity to cafes, restaurants, and a gasoline station makes it an ideal choice for travelers. I highly recommend this place, and I would rate it five stars for its exceptional service, which surpasses that of other establishments.

Nice place

I was there when this place was born... some bars set up in the same compound with a live band playing. Went home with muddy shoes after slushing our way from one table to the other. There was a time when you walked in Taboan and you recognize a lot of people.

Still remains as a water hole for beer thirsty camels and hungry chupacabras. Especially on Friday nights and weekends or holidays. Vast options here from exotic pulutan to the best halo-halo in town.

Definitely a good place to bring visitors and chillax.

A dozen food outlets all basically run as one. Central tables. Food is decent. The focus is the beer and music.
There are a few dining options outside of the main covered hall that have a little better quality and they will mostly deliver to your table if needed.

We were at the Matina Town Square for lunch. I had a sumptuous meal at Rokaru Express, a japanese restaurant. It was a great experience although it was a quick drop-by. Usually the place starts to fill in the afternoon, I was told. It was great to find good food for lunch in this place.

Matina Town Square is slowly rebuilding its reputation as the go-to party place for Davaoenos by adding more restaurants, bars and establishments within the property. I have not been to this place in awhile so it was a nice surprise when we went there the other day and found out that there was a new restaurant that is reminiscent of the one in Makati. So far, I have only visited two establishments and I hope to explore this place more in the next couple of days.
