Bar Deco

We held an office happy hour at Bar Deco as a private event, and it was great! The space was easy to move around in, with plenty of seating as well as hightops. The food was delicious; I definitely recommend the meatballs. Thanks Chelsea for working with our team to make it a great night!

Went here for a work happy hour. I got here at 430 pm, and there was virtually no one at the rooftop. Once 5 pm hit, people started flooding in. Best get here before 5 to reserve seats.

This place was perfect though for a large party without prior reservations, as long as your ok with a little risk!

Cool vibe, fun menu. The hostess was kind coming in. Would come back.

Didn't eat here but had Mezcal Prickly Pear and Mango Habanero Margarita cocktails and they were amazing. Cute rooftop patio but you won't get a view of the sunset or anything.

Decent place but they automatically add a 20% tip even when you sit at the rooftop bar. And you pretty much serve yourself up there. You have to go up to the bar and order drinks/food. You have to get your own water from dispensers they have set up. The staff just sat behind the bar playing on their phones so doesn't make a lot of sense that you'd pay a big tip. Plus the food was on the expensive side, so you pay a lot and automatically get charged a tip on top.

A pleasant surprise not far from where I work in D.C. We had to wait until 4 for it to open, but it was such a pleasant experience. We headed straight to the rooftop bar and grabbed a shaded table. Here's a tip: get there early because the rooftop bar fills up quickly. The food was tasty and prepared quickly, the drinks were great and the atmosphere was exceptional.

I visited Bar Deco for the first time the other night before a Wizards game. The host/greeter was polite and welcoming. He directed me to the bar via the elevator. The bar is long and narrow but comfortable; typical of establishments in DC. When I arrived around 540, there weren't too many people so I easily found a spot at the bar with seats for my friends to join. The bartender that served me was really friendly and we were able to share some small jokes until my friends met me. I ordered the winter sangria twice which I really liked. Good flavors, not too sweet and definitely gave me a nice buzz going into the arena. I also had the Mac burger which is a nice play on a Big Mac. It was really good but unfortunately it was cooked just a little more than I asked. My girlfriend had the same feedback in her classic burger but that didn't prevent us from eating the whole thing lol. I was pleasantly surprised with the fries here. I didn't know what to expect but I loved the thick cut, wedge style. Seasoned well and still crispy. My other friend got the wings which he liked but we didn't find much mango flavor...just spiciness. Finally, they got the king slayer, the old fashioned and the house red. They all liked their drinks and we all agreed that we would probably come back again! Good happy hour specials, great music and very good service. One major note: they do add 20% gratuity on all of their bills so be aware of that when cashing out. While I definitely don’t agree with 20% automatically being added for all parties, I didn’t mind this time because I think our bartender deserved it. I should have got her name but I spaced. She was a Blonde, White woman working on Monday night. Such a pleasant, professional and fun person.

Friendly and attentive service. Food was tasty and hot, and came out reasonably quickly, especially considering the Caps were playing that night. Nice cocktail menu. Atmosphere was loud due to loud music.
