Manjulalthara, near Guruvayur Temple, is a place of deep historical and spiritual significance. It's named after Manjula, a great devotee of Lord Guruvayoorappan, who daily offered a garland to the Lord. One evening, the temple was closed when she arrived, so she placed her garland under the nearby peepul tree. The next day, the temple priest found that one garland could not be removed from the deity, which was later identified as Manjula’s offering. Her devotion was recognized, and the peepul tree became a revered site known as Manjulalthara.

Today, a beautiful deity of Sri Garuda is installed under the tree, and devotees continue to offer their salutations here. Despite its humble appearance, this spot radiates a profound sense of devotion and is a must-visit for anyone coming to Guruvayur.
