HJP Dog Park

Private park. Awesome place. Membership needed.

Coming from out of town, we did not know you must be a member of local community to use this dog park, could have gone to a different park.

Best $25 I could spend on my dog! Super fun! He made friends! Got socalized! Love this park!

I've been a member of this park since 2916. Membership is $25 which I think is very reasonable. Your dog must be vaccinated which is great because it keeps all dogs safe. Trails are beautiful but they are for fit people. Paved walk is wonderful! Dog people are very friendly!

Looks nice but it's members only so no visitors. Didn't know that before the drive over but there are trails around that we were able to use

There's a large dog area and small dog area.
However, it is not free to the public. You have to sign up at the HJP Park & Open Space Commission - Located at 2162 PA-715, Reeders, PA 18352 (Same building as the Post Office). They charge you an annual maintenance of $25 (might be more now) and give you a key to the padlocks. The key is changed annually.

There is no water fountain so you should bring your own bottled water for your pup - and even though there is free parking is it a hike from the dog park entrance.

Been coming here for a couple years now. Only one dog is kind of a problem but the owner keeps control of it and I've seen her leave when her dog has gotten to friendly.
I just wish because my medical conditions it was easier to park by the dog park. Walking from the top of the hill down is kind of hard for me so I don't go as often as I would like. I'm thinking you should be some handicap parking closer to the actual entrance of the park
