This is great if your staying at the Riverwalk.... you can get a one day or 3 day pass and I wish I would of got the 3 day pass. It makes getting around much easier in that you can avoid driving. It's relaxing and the driver, Dori, didn't have to provide any fun facts about the area (as this is not the "guided tour") but she did and was super friendly. Thanks for the fun day in San Antonio !!

The riverboat tour with Rio Taxi was definitely a highlight of our anniversary trip to San Antonio! The history of the area was so interesting during our tour, that I order three books about it when I got to the room! Thank you San Antonio for an epic time while we visited you!

The boat tour is pretty good. If you wanna walk by yourself, that's fine. But I do recommend taking a boat tour and having a tour guide. That would be far more interesting.

The tour was really nice. Captain Bobby was a delight, funny, entertaining and knows the cities history in detail. The tour gives you a great overview of the River Walk and all of the shops, restaurants and bars. Once you take the tour boat ride, you have a much better understanding of the area and how to get around the River Walk and the area sites like the Alamo and the Cathedral. I would recommend the boat tour. As far as the taxi service, just pay attention to the schedule.

Waste of time and money
$16 dollars for day and get on/off whenever you want is what you are told. What they don’t tell you until you complain is that there are 3 taxis covering 9 miles of water. We saw 3 in 8 hours. You will be advised to stand in one spot and wait for taxi— anywhere from 5 min to 2 hours!!! Do not count on this making the Riverwalk more pleasurable for folks with limited endurance of walking.

The boats and drivers are great but dispatch hasn't got a clue (but pretend they do!). If you can ignore the fact it is a total crap shoot as to when the boat will actually arrive, then it's a great trip and the best way to travel in San Antonio.

DO NOT bother with the taxi service. The say there taxis run every 20 to 30 minutes but they will drop you off and never show up again. They left me stranded with disabled people for over an hour and a half while I called and they told me he was always 5 minutes away. They shouldn't be allowed to run this "service", it's just a fleecing of tourists.
