I’d like to start by saying this statue is huge. I am a lil afraid of large things and this state is one of them. I am so happy that I went though. My daughter loved seeing this and we had a good set of pictures here! It’s a must see plus it’s a historical sight and it’s right above where Marin Luther King Jr. gave his famous “I had a dream speech”. It’s a must see. Enjoy!

The Abraham Lincoln Monument on Kelly Drive is not just a statue; it’s a narrative in bronze and granite, telling a story of hope and history. Imagine standing before the seated figure of Lincoln, larger than life, as he pens the Emancipation Proclamation. The air around you is filled with the whispers of the past, each inscription a testament to the ideals of liberty and justice. This monument is a portal to another era, set against the picturesque Fairmount Park, inviting passersby to pause and ponder the profound impact of Lincoln’s presidency. It’s a place where the echoes of the Gettysburg Address linger, and the promise of freedom resonates with every visitor who takes a moment to reflect on the enduring spirit of one of America’s greatest leaders.

Beautiful monument to one of my favorite presidents. Beautifully done and imposing. You can feel the greatness.

Beautiful monument, and a great area to go on a long walk or bike ride. I don't know if this monument is a must see, but if you happen to go by it, it's a good statue to look at.
