Not a bad place, quite nice, very good school for learning and education. Sets you up nicely for the future. Love the business department, very interesting classes. PLUS, THE CAFE COOKIES ARE THE BEST.

HORRIBLE SCHOOL PLS DO NOT SEND UR KIDS HERE. The administration is horrible and teachers do not care about students. My kid came home crying because one of his teachers told him to not even try and that he was to dumb to learn anything. I tried talking to the principal and teacher about the issue but after a few conversations they ignored it and did nothing about it.

Poor treatment of students, horrible school food. and they charge a lot of the food too. punishes those who are victims of bullying, and throw the whole situation under the rug. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE. they will be bullied and moderation will do nothing but suspend your kids or family for "Fighting back" when they protect themselves.

lack of care from any teachers, unfair bias on students, if they like you they will give you better treatment and marks. Total bias towards the students they like. Treat your students better they are the people who make the school and the future of Canada.

The school needs uniforms. It's absolutely mandatory however some students cannot afford them but they do not care at all. You are forced to stay in the office for the whole day if you forget to wear it as well.

A student here, and WHELP! The reviews here are not so great, although based on the previous years my brother had to go here, they are pretty truthfull. However, I'm here to give some hope. The mean principal had been kicked out, the teachers that we have now are pretty enthusiastic about what they do. There are only a few fights that I've heard of. I am not a popular person, but I am well known. I've never experienced being bullied but I have witnessed a girl who had a mental disabillity get bullied, and it was dealt with. Most people realize pretty quickly that here, you study, make freinds and have a good time. People are going to collectively dislike you if you are a horrible person. You are allowed to go to the bathroom, but dont spend a hour in there. There are only two lunch monitors who are strict about raoming the hallways during lunch but otherwise, go where you please. The prices in the cafeteria are still pretty high, but god, the cookies are worth $2 each. I'm sad that so many people have had bad experiences, but life is full of disasters. One thing to watch out for and some advise on it for future students; WATCH OUT FOR THE GOSSIP SYSTEM. Rumors are everywhere and please take everything you hear with a grain of salt. If people are spreading rumors about you, ignore them. Seriously, they WILL get bored and move on. You will find freinds here, you will find enemies here. It's part of the magic. Welcome to McGiveney!
