Would recommend this pub, the food was home cooked and great. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and efficient and reasonably priced.

Home cooked food, friendly staff and very clean. There was very little vegetarian choices. A veggie option on the specials board would have been nice. They did accommodate us though with slight variations to the menu. The fresh hand cut chips were worth the 5* on its own. All the dishes were fresh and well presented, definitely worth a visit.

I arranged with Donna, Manageress, to have the Sunday Roasts for 18 family and friends to celebrate my special Birthday. The Roasts were delicious, plenty of meat and vegetables for everyone. The desserts were delicious too. Everyone enjoyed their meal, with plenty of empty plates!! The Staff were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you very much Donna and your courteous Staff for making the occasion such a happy one. I will of course recommend The Ship to all my friends x

Booked for 10 at short notice and staff were very helpful. All our order was delivered together, everyone got what they ordered. Our food was great, varied and interesting menu.
Our only tiny negative was the crack in the play ground slide , making it unusable.
But we were very pleased, thank you .

Food delicious. Two courses, freshly cooked for £12 pp. Wednesday to Friday lunch.
Accompanied by a beautiful bottle of cold water, much needed today.
Quality wine and beer.
Toilets and establishment 'mint clean'.
Highly recommended!

Our first visit the The Ship, there were 4 adults and 2 children in our group. We were allocated a nice big table in the spacious restaurant area. The Sunday roast dinners were fantastic, well cooked meat, potatoes and vegetables topped off with a massive home made Yorkshire pudding. The kids meals were great, very good sized portions which they both really enjoyed. The dessert selection was a little limited but all very tasty. The team were friendly, cheerful and helpful, the service was efficient and attentive. All round this was a great experience. Well done!

What an absolute gem of a pub, amazing food, fantastic bar staff, lovely atmosphere and beautifully renovated and decorated, and very well run by the landlady Donna and her sister Kirsty behind the bar. Would highly recommend a visit if in the local area.
