I have going here for the last eleven years and have never had a problem ,till now. Asked for an extra brisket taco like I usually do and had a response of we can’t do that. We have to split an order or you can have strips of beef. Was told they were not supposed to do that during the eleven years I have been visiting!
I can’t even count the times I have done this. Looks like restaurants are not here to serve the public and wonder why they are going out of business!
I will be going to Ranch Way instead where they are here to give great customer service!

Wow, did something change from 3 years ago? My husband and I dined this evening and it seems like the drink and food quality has changed and has gone downhill from our previous visits. I felt like I was served a "New Mexican TV Dinner" with a small what seems to be a microwaveable chimichanga which was suppose to be a double barrel. What does that even mean? Our server didn't have an answer. It is sad to see this new direction (whether it was or was not intentional) and unfortunately we will not be returning in our future trips to Las Cruces.

Green enchiladas had some kind of yellow processed gerber baby food cheese substitute inside. Not very authentic. Kinda yucky. Red and blue chips were great. Yellow chips were hard. Service was good. Water was good.

El Sombrero has always been one of my favorite places to eat! You can always count on tasty food and hot chile.
Now they have chocolate sopaipillas stuffed with ice cream, drizzled with chocolate sauce and amazing whipped cream! It's worth going there just for that!

In from northern New Mexico. It was very welcoming. Fast and beyond excellent service. We sat in the patio area, lots of colorful paintings/ murals. The food was delicious!!! I had gotten the chicken fajitas, and my fiancée gotten a burger.

Love the interior of the restaurant. The patio looks romantic. Beautiful green plants makes the patio look like a botanical garden. Birds fly into the patio and add so much fun! The dishes look good. Definitely a good place to see young handsome waiters as well. 😉

Loved my experience! The food was absolutely delicious the red enchiladas were so tasty and spicy ! Super clean and nice! Anthony was especially exceptional! Very friendly all smiles a great waiter for sure! He took great care of our table! Will be coming back.

Okay... So my best friend and I were driving from Tennessee to California and stopped over night in Las Cruces. The receptionist at our hotel recommended this restaurant for a taste of New Mexico Mexican food. He said to absolutely get the green sauce. So we made our way over and found a packed house on a Friday night, a good indicator that this place is bomb. We are seated right away since there were only 2 of us. We ordered the queso and our meals and thought we were ready. WE WERE NOT READY! After we tried the salsa we knew we were in trouble. Our mouths burned like fire. The queso was like adding gasoline to the blaze. I conceded defeat, but my friend would not give in stating "this is really good, it's just too spicy." After finishing 2 glasses of water she ordered milk to ease the pain. This was enough... Until the meals came. We both orders combos with red enchiladas because we were told the green was going to be too spicy. We overestimated our strength. After sides of sour cream, tortillas, and milk the fire turned to lava and consumed us. But a blessing was sent to us in our time of need. Izzy, the most amazing waitress to tread on this earth took pity on these desperate souls and her manager (who's name I didn't catch, but who is also a beautiful person) whisked the fires away and brought us the most amazing quesadillas in New Mexico. Our palettes were graced with the flavors of chicken, cheese and veggies in a tortilla blanket. They compt the fire and only charged us for the quesadillas and queso (which my friend was able to tolerate). 10/10 recommend this establishment for its wonderful food and service. 15/10 recommend for the dragons who walk this earth.
