Beautiful church, thoughtful service, amazing historical tour of Underground Railroad stop. Definitely worth a visit to support the great work to keep this legacy alive!!

If you go, do a tour and you’ll learn a ton about the amazing people who helped in the fight for emancipation of slaves in their work on The Underground Railroad. One of my favorite places on a recent visit to NYC.

Really wonderful church. Very nice and accepting. Everyone is welcome. The people there are wonderful.

This is the kind of church I wish all churches were like.

They also have child care here that seems pretty good. The classrooms actually have windows (most of the others around here don't). Plus they have a nice playground in the back too (they have it open to the public certain evenings during the summer I think).

Check out their website for more info!

For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.

This historic church is a must see on any trip to Brooklyn Heights. The statue of Beecher is on Orange street. Take some time and research his interesting life. Also, if you can get inside, there is a seat in the church with a plaque - Abraham Lincoln attended services here. As far as I know, he was the only sitting President to visit Brooklyn.
