Van Saun County Park

First time visiting this big beautiful park. Clean. Spacious. You can rent picnic areas. Huge playground for kids. I saw security/police constantly surveying the area. A nice zoo and train ride for the whole family to enjoy. No snacks except inside zoo. Icecream trucks and vending machines available. Johnny on go available for a bathroom. Parking close to picnic area and playground. We cleaned up after we left keeping nature as it is.

The park is really nice , paths to walk and ride bike are also long and not crowded at all , a lot of activities to do there : pony ride, carousel and the zoo is also there . A nice cheap place to go and get the kids to do fun and safe things on a nice weather . The bathrooms are awful tho . Mostly portable toilets , no water ti wash your hands and no toilet paper .

Very nice park for a relaxing day. The zoo is very small but very well laid out. Love the train ride through there!

Well manicure lawn areas and very clean. Staff is knowledgeable and polite. Reasonable prices, especially for non residents. Always a great experience for the entire Family. Highly recommended.

Not much here is said what this place is about. So I’ll try to be as detailed as possible. First off the entrance is amazing. Parking is tight but if you have an EV you have charging stalls dedicated to you and they are all FREE! Like amazing already! The Zoo is a paid Zoo that is a fair price $8.00 per adult and $4.00 per kid. You can easily spend more than an hour at the ZOO. Some of the animals have limited space. Other animals have better space. The playground is just beautiful and the picnic area is great to have some sandwiches there. I just loved it! And I think there should be more information about this place because it’s a great place for family’s to spend their day! 🤩

The park and zoo was very nice, especially for kids. However, I did not appreciate how I was treated at the carousel. My daughter reached the height limit, but the guy that was taking tickets said he was changing that rule and that I needed to go on with my daughter. He claimed to be a manager and was forcing me to go on with her even after I had explained to him that I couldn't because I have vertigo. I told him that it could cause me to pass out. He wasn't sympathetic, and another parent was kind enough to sit with her. When she got off she apologized to me for his behavior and also complained that he is always giving people a hard time. Please do better, be understanding, and fair. If the sign and rules are there, follow them as well. Thank you!

Grew up around the area and enjoyed coming here when I was younger. Now I'm enjoying it as an adult bringing my little ones here. Prices are super reasonable. We always enjoy the carousel and train ride. I do wish they would oil up the train or something though because the screeching sounds can be a bit unpleasant. Overall a great place to take your kids!
