Toots and Maytals Bar

Great cocktail bar! Bartender was so nice and obviously knows his craft inside out. The drinks were delicious and it's a lovely cosy place. For 8.50 for a cocktail, it's good value considering the quality.

Such a lovely bartender, full of life and friendly. The drinks were good and the place was very small and cosy. Perfect to have a drink and catch up with friends with good music, high enough to enjoy and low enough to hold a conversation. The only bad thing in my opinion was the bathroom’s sink

I popped in here last sunday as I was bored outta my mind and my first impressions of it were quite different. It seemed unwelcoming and dim from the outside but to my surprised I was attended by a welcoming bartender, a cozy atmosphere, and a banging playlist playing in the background.

The place itself is somewhat small but that in itself isn't a bad thing as it forces you to socialize with other patrons of the area. Comfortably seating and to my surprise it had a working AC! a rarity among pubs in general.
The drinks were freshing albeit slightly pricey (but then again I'm a broke graduate) but it certainly makes up with the vibrant vibes and as stated earlier the freshing and tasty beverage.

Despite my nitpicking however, I would definitely recommend this place for anyone within the local area that wants a more chill experience. Or really, anyone passing by Leicester for a couple of days.

Brilliant place. I'm not confident about ordering cocktails as I've had so many overly sweet low alcohol versions. But here it's ok, even encouraged to ask as some items are his own recipe, such as the rum punch. Highly recommended and can't wait to til my next visit.

If you want to feel welcome, part of a family, and have a fun warm night to remember then take the time to visit this bar, if you just want a cheep pint then stick to spoons over the road. Toots and Maytals is a place everyone should experience its what going out for a drink should be and has always been about.
