a short bushwalk. the nearby highway and the trucks using the air breaks spoil the otherwise serene setting

So beautiful and picturesque. Tracks were slightly wet and muddy on the day we went, but not so bad that we slipped.
There were toilets at the car park but I didn't use so can't speak to their cleanliness.
There were also free parks when I arrived and people were coming and going during our time.
It was just overall a nice experience and short walk in the rainforest to see Curtis falls.

My husband and I had the privilege to stay at Joalah house , At Tamborine Mt Qld this weekend 25th May 2024. The cottage was exquisite, much more than was expected and Karen and Colin our hosts couldn't have been more friendly or helpful in assuring our stay was memorable and comfortable. We highly recommend a stay at Joalah House where you will find your gracious hosts waiting to make your stay a memorable experience. Thank you Karen and Colin for a care free memorable weekend. Hope the visit again in the near future.

Did both Curtis and Lower creek circuit. Easy, short tracks. Boulder crossing was intense as I choose a day it was raining. Popular track. Highlight was seeing a carpet python 400m from the start. Great coffee at Pavillion

The Joalah Section is part of the Tamborine National Park on the Tamborine Mountain.
It is quite a beautiful area, only an hour drive from Brisbane.
There is a wide range of flora and fauna such as large trees and shrubs, various birds, glow worms and even platypuses.
In addition to the forest, there is a waterfall and creek/river that runs through the forest.

Did not manage to see the waterfall as it was the dry season during my visit in early Dec 2019. But during our trekking, we saw some interesting trees.

It was very wet and rather muddy, but this ~3km nature walk was a breath of fresh air.
There is one point in the track that requires you to cross a stream with no bridge (walking across rocks)

Definitely must see when in Tamborine national park. Such a beautiful place! You can get really close to the curtis falls and take amazing pictures. We also went for a walk on a trail. Every path is well marked, the directions are clear, so you don't get lost. Beautiful rainforest, lots of birds. There's also a lookout point and a place to have rest. Spend at least an hour or two there just walking through the rainforest.
