Shelley Foreshore

This is my new found favourite park to be. It's huge and enough space for everyone. No need to fight for space. There's an area for playground, an area for BBQ, an area for the dogs to be without leash. It's suitable for every need. Walking, running, cycling, kayaking, stand up paddling, picnic. You name it. There are benches all over for you to sit and just absorb the goodness nature has for us. I especially liked the sunset there and also enjoyed the morning walk where the serenity is mesmerising.

A note though that this week when I was there, the playground area is cordoned off for upgrading works. Not sure for how long.

Busy. New Years Day fireworks, live music, food vans, water stations, jumping castles for kids, as well as playgrounds. All courtesy of the City of Canning. A great community initiative that is enjoyed by many. Parking areas, security, first aid. Everything to cover such an event. Happy New Year 2024. I hope you are better than last year.

We had a kids party down here. Ample room for tonnes of people! Big park and bbqs! Foreshore is accessible and great CLEAN toilets. Highly reccomend for a nice outing with family for a picnic or walk :)

Serene at night, just so calm and beautiful

Great peaceful park by the river with a small jetty. Small playground, BBQ, tables and chairs. Heaps of grassed area to run around on. Parking is very difficult at times

Great place for families with children to use the children's playground facilities or the BBQ facilities with public toilet building just nearby. Couples with dogs can let their dogs to play around in the open field or on the beach, or even splashing in the water!
The concrete cycle paths or walkways meandering along the river side are great for people to cycle along or walk with ease while enjoying the breeze from the river. The Jetty sets the tone for taking scenic photos with the swans swimming in the background against the Perth city in the distance!

Beautiful foreshore. The calm, peaceful and beautiful environment brought relaxation. A place for family as well. There is a Public BBQ set with a water supply, pagoda shade, public toilets and a children playground. Good for outdoor activities.

This large reserve area is great to cool down in the hot summer afternoons. It has a children's playground, public toilets, shaded picnic areas and bbq's. The beach area is good for a splash or can jump off the jetty but check the depth first! A favourite for us and great for young kids.
