Such a beautiful yet emotional place. My family links with Civentry made this visit so much more special. Make sure you spend some time taking in the beauty of the ceiling

Amazing experience in Berlin! Seeing a life concert in a beautiful church and only five minutes from our hotel. Great way to wrap up 9 days in Berlin.

Didn't stop by my first trip in 09. Good, interesting museum inside. Beautiful mosaics on the floor and ceiling. It's just a part of the original cathedral and brings hone some of the devastation that all of Europe experienced in WW2.

This interesting memorial church carried a historic value. As interesting as it seemed from outside, it was more interesting inside. It was beautifully maintained without making a massive changes.

Extraordinary place, the beautiful glinting mozaics, contrasting with the cool marble reliefs. The juxtaposition of the damaged church with the simple crosses from Russia and Britain as symbols of reconciliation. Well worth a visit.

It is an old church that still maintains its beauty and magic. There are traces of destruction on the church's top, making it feel beautiful in a different way. It also conveys that this place has experienced some kind of heroic deed in the past.

Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin is a profound symbol of the city's resilience and a must-visit landmark. Situated on Breitscheidplatz, this historic church stands as a poignant reminder of Berlin's turbulent history, particularly the devastation of World War II.

The original church, built in the 1890s, was heavily damaged during a bombing raid in 1943. Instead of being fully restored, its ruins were preserved and integrated into a modern church complex designed by Egon Eiermann in the 1960s. The juxtaposition of the damaged spire and the new, striking blue-glass chapel creates a powerful visual and emotional impact.

Visitors are drawn to the memorial hall within the old tower, which houses exhibits about the church's history and the war. The serene new chapel, with its thousands of stained-glass windows, offers a stark contrast and a place for reflection and peace.

Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is more than a religious site; it's a cultural and historical beacon. Its architecture, history, and symbolism provide a deep and moving experience, making it an essential stop for anyone visiting Berlin. The church eloquently tells a story of destruction, remembrance, and hope, embodying the spirit of Berlin itself. ١
