Brilliant Restaurant

Heard a lot about this restaurant but tbh the food is not at all hype about the noise. Ordered chicken wings in spicy sauce, chicken was hard like rubber and one pc was just similar to plastic. Mutton masala had no flavour, very basic curry with a small portion and 80% meat and just 20% curry. Naan size was large but wasn’t soft. Mango lassi taste was stale and tasted very odd. Readymade lassi from supermarket is 100% times better than that lassi. Note: Starter and main course was recommended by the waiter and i was hoping that would be from their best sellers but a total disappointment. Couple of my friends also wanted to visit this restaurant but i already have shared my experience with them. Only one things was nice and that was their chutneys.

The mains we ordered tasted so bad, the karahi chicken had red chilli thrown on top so you could taste it. Dal makhni was not actually dal makhni it was brown dal with normal tarka. The rice pulao was like it was cooked a day before all the peas were discoloured and presented so badly.

Been to this Brilliant Restaurant in Southall for the first time and the food tastes really Brilliant. Great place to take your family and guests. Lots of options to choose from for both vegetarian and non vegetarian.

We went with a large group for our Dads birthday. Overall, the food and evening were nice. Service was great, and we had no issues with our food.

Just after we got our cake, the table I was on cracked down the middle and landed on my foot. No permanent damage. I was mostly concerned as we had 3 small children with us. Another person who was dining that evening came over to help, and then the staff came to make sure we were okay and apologised.

Our server took my name and number and advised that the owner would like to call me. This was 1 week ago. I've also emailed and did not receive a call or reply. Whilst I'm mostly unfazed, had the children been sitting there, who knows what could have happened.

I've left ample time for a reply and, as such, wanted to leave a review about the night.

Had a lovely meal here for my mums birthday. Staff were really friendly and helpful, accommodating us even though we were quite early for our booking and were sure to check up on us with drinks and food. Never an empty glass. Would like to give a special shout out to our server Anil!
To start we ordered the mixed grill, pani puri, popcorn jinga and the bhaji mix. My favourite was probably the popcorn jinga - it was absolutely delicious and I thought a good amount of prawns. The lamb as part of the mixed grill was also really tasty, same with the pani puri and bhaji lots of depth of flavour. By mains we were feeling pretty full and satisfied so just got a butter chicken and masala chicken between 3 of us which again were very yummy. Can tell they know what they are doing. To quote my mum “I think this is the best curry I’ve ever had”. Even bought a cook book after.

Yeah yeah yeah. I know. This review is going to say "it's Brilliant". Inevitable. But the food and service WAS brilliant. (There is a lovely back story as to the name, stretching back through generations and continents). Highly recommended. It is as good as it looks.
