Othello

A lovely place, and a wonderful meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for making it a great dining experience at a reasonable price. This place was recommended to us by the guys at the tattoo studio. We were told if we wanted a great meal to try Othello's. We went in to try and book a table and were welcomed in with open arms. I would definitely recommend this restaurant . Garlic mushrooms for both, I had gammon and pineapple, and my husband had a medium steak, all really delicious.

Our dining experience at Othello was excellent. The food was superb! The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. As for Mike, he's amazing. Fun, friendly, warm, caring. Love that guy.

Mike, the owner and his staff were on point, Othello's had been suggested to us by just about every local foodie. And to make life easier, we agreed to go early 17.30, it very soon filled up. I ordered lobster in a cheese sauce then Mike suggested I have the Thermidor, as a chef of 30+ years, I agreed. I was offered a choice of 3 ranging from £40+ to £70+ I chose the middle £60ish. The lobster was perfectly cooked but had absolutely no flavour I'm afraid to say even with extra salt as I thought the chef may have deliberately under seasoned. I think next time I would choose a steak which everyone told me are excellent, especially Andy who loves their tornados Rossini. Next time 😉

AMAZING FOOD SERVICE & STAFF AND ATMOSPHERE!!! I can’t believe that I’ve only just discovered this absolutely gem of a restaurant last night. I’ve been going to Great Yarmouth now for about 20 years and we only ended up finding Othello when having to search for another steak house after were disappointed to find out that our usual restaurant was closed for the evening, however, the disappointment was forgotten within 2 minutes of walking into Othello. We received a warm welcome by the owner Michael and shown to the bar area whilst a table was prepared for us, where I was introduced and offered to try their locally brewed draft lager (LRG) as I hadn’t heard of it before, turns out that is delicious, to me it was somewhere in between beer and lager and went down a treat, so I would also highly recommend that you try it.

Whilst waiting we were given menus and plenty of time to decide what to choose, although it was an easy decision for me when I saw the Fillet Steak and Kings Prawn, I’ll be honest, it wasn’t cheap at £42 but as the saying goes “you get what you pay for” and I can honestly say that without question that it was the best meal I’ve ever had!!! I can’t really afford to eat out at this amazing level these days, buy it was a bit of a treat and I’ll certainly be saving up my pennies so I can visit here again next year..

A massive thank you to Michael and his brilliant lovely team and not just because of the food, but also for creating the environment for a genuinely fantastic overall experience. If there was an option to give you 10 stars I’d have given it.

I wish you every success that your restaurant truly deserves, and we very much look forward to coming back in the future.

PS Lilly said that the spaghetti bolognaise was the best she has ever had and that it was so much better than what I make. Gotta love the honestly you get from kids. lol

First time at Orthello Restaurant Great Yarmouth
The meal was first class, steak cooked perfect, the service second to none, I wish I was staying in Great Yarmouth longer so we could go back again, I cannot rate highly enough.

My partner & I went to this little gem of a restaurant Michael & Ricky could not do enough, so pleasant, friendly and amazing service. The food was incredible, they do not skimp on portions, I had Sea Bass, they were huge! Perfectly cooked, beautifully presented. Would very highly recommend anyone to visit, you will not be disappointed A definite 5* Rating from us.

The best food in the borough of Great Yarmouth. Michael the Front of House and owner is exceptional and can’t do enough to please you. Always smiling, attentive and on hand when needed.
The steak is so perfectly cooked, soft and easy to cut. The flavours are exceptional I can’t recommend Othellos high enough
