As an ex resident of Linlithgow I visited for the special showcase of Low Port Primary that was in the community room of the museum. It was nice to see how the school has changed over the last 50 years it has been a primary school.
The museum also was insightful as it drew my attention to a number of industries that were once in Linlithgow. Other than the distillery and an army barracks I was totally unaware of the other products produced in Linlithgow.
If you have an hour in town make your way there. It is free and we'll worth your time.
We also tested the accessibility, which at the weekend is taped off, but we were able to get access to the lift and it all being step free.

Great little museum with interactive displays and just a beautiful town to walk around after your visit.
We went for the great Lego build of Linlithgow Palace and had to book slots in advance but worth looking online to see what's on a few weeks before so you can plan your visit and get involved in the towns activities

A thoroughly enjoyable place to visit, it is small in comparison to major museums but it is rich with local history to Linlithgow and definitely worth taking some time visiting if you are in the area.

Lovely little free entry museum. But you can make a donation. The girl on the reception downstairs pointed me the directions to the museum. The museum is well maintained, a great way to know the history of Linlithgow. Enjoyed the visit. I would recommend it
