Wooler Tourist Information Centre

The centre has meeting rooms, the local library, Newcastle building society, mother and baby groups, carpet bowls.

Called in to collect information about The College Valley Estate permits . Easy to find (brown info signs directing you). There's a carpark here ( no height barrier) although we parked on the roadside for the 20 mins or so we needed. Really helpful staff. Left with maps, directions and other places of interest that we hadn't known about. Little gift shop, and toilets. All good.

Tourist info. Nice town, milk bar and farmers market great. Lovely flowers all through the town

Community run centre managed by the local development trust, Glendale Gateway Trust. It houses the local library, tourist information, meeting rooms for hire, small businesses, police admin offices and the Glendale Gateway Trust. Sometimes it is open in the evening for film screenings, music events, talks or plays. Open six days a week in winter seven in summer. Access for wheelchair users. Great place.

Sadly not 'manned' due to Covid-19 restrictions but space shared with building society and others is open and plenty of leaflets displayed. It would have been helpful to have update of which attractions are open as I've seen elsewhere (Berwick).

Exceptionally helpful staff, good range of information, books and maps relating to this lovely area.

Although our visit was a brief one the staff member who dealt with us was extremely helpful. The Centre although small is well organised.
