TLDR - the child support office stole money from me and won’t return it.
For 7 years, money was being deducted from my paycheck. For some reason, 4 of the child support payments got misplaced. They tried to blame my employer. This is simply not true, but a whole other issue. Then they “found” the missing funds. They told me they would mail me the checks. This was 4 months ago, after trying to locate the money for a year. I have emailed weekly asking where my money is. Crickets. Every now and then she will email back and say it takes time to release the money. But it is my money. I ask her who to contact above her or who I can contact in the department in charge of releasing the funds. Crickets. I am struggling financially, and she won’t even give me an estimate of when my money will be returned. How do I file a formal complaint?

Worse place to call , on hold for 1 hr & 30 mins just to be hung up on, no call back nothing , this Is beyond insanely terrible they just need to shut down for good there Is just no type of communication in any way shape or form I don't even know if this a call center , they must be short staff as hell there's no way there is a 1hr hold each time I call weather it's 8am 9am 10am 11am just pull up on them your phone will die trying to get these people or who ever to answer the phone will drive you crazy!!!

They have not worked on my case since last Aug of last year. My case mgr was supposed to call me back within 20 business days and got nothing but months later.

This place is horrible these people do not want to help you. 1st time in Montgomery county, from the two women on the front line behind the glass to the case worker Jene Lacy. Cleary the women at the front desk judge your appearance when you walk in because one of them stated after looking me up oh you look different because I been here two weeks prior when she and her employee next to her gave me a hard way to go.
It’s very disturbing that Montgomery county where your tax dollars are being spent allow the government to treat you in such away.

I'm gonna say right now looking at all the other reviews I am not surprised one bit how my experience has been thus far... Gil is so unprofessional and rude and I have since reported him. He should not have a job working in a field that's supposed to be in the best interest of children. He is awful to deal with. I'd give negative stars if I could.

The “case worker” doesn’t even have a voicemail set up? I was provided a number to call directly from the DHS office yet no one answers or returns your calls, have been calling for weeks trying to get a hold of ANY ONE. They had no problem denying my benefits though. You all seriously need to do better.

Case worker has no voice-mail set up. The option to get to an operator is broken, as the prompt says press 0, then when you do, they say its an invalid option. Been sending emails since October with no response. I don't know if my case worker is dead or alive. But the lack of response is absolutely disgusting. These government agencies need to do better.
