Olive

Went to visit due to the hype and in hope of some good non-Spanish tapas. The restaurant itself was nice with a lovely atmosphere, but the food (and the price) was less than average. It tasted like an average take away despite the menu sounding very gourmet. Also surprised the food quality was not great despite a very small and seasonal menu. If the price was lower, then the food would be justifiable.

We have been to Olive quite a few times, however our last visit on Friday excelled all the other times. There has been a great makeover done with extra seating.

Lovely new renovation and menu! We enjoyed our starters and our drinks. The mains (fillet steak) was delicious too, however two portions of chips were forgotten (serves with chips)-which was quite annoying as we all practically finished our meals by time it came.

The food was delicious and the staff were lovely. We enjoyed our anniversary at Olive. It's a 20 minute walk out of the city centre, well worth the visit.

There is now a lovely area to sit before your meal where you can enjoy a tasty glass of wine, cocktail or beer. The menu has many small plates to choose from. We had calamari, sardines and pumpkin tortellini. Before trying their larger plates of orechiette pasta and the chicken terrine. Everything had great flavour and served quickly. Will definitely be back again to try even more of the menu!!

Firstly, the staff were friendly, attentive and knew the menu inside and out!

Secondly, the food was simply amazing. My Polish girlfriend has incredibly high standards for food and she was blown away! I was equally impressed! We mostly ate from the small plates / starter section and these sounded the best. However, the food we saw coming out for other customer looked equally as tasty and we'll presented!

We booked early and the place soon filled up! It was full by the time we left, so definitely make a booking.

We were told that tips were preferred in cash, so that's one thing in mind. Thankfully we had enough to reward the hard working staff for their efforts!

We thoroughly recommend this place and we'll certainly return again!

More people need to visit this place as it really is a hidden gem!

Have had Olive on my list of places to eat in Sheffield for a while, and finally got round to visiting. Firstly the decor is lovely and has such a great vibe. The staff were very friendly and attentive, but the food… oh wow.

My partner and I shared the arancini for starter and it was so soft and flavoursome. I then had the champagne chicken for main and my partner went for the chicken gorgonzola with a side salad to share. Our meals were both incredibly fresh, tasty and filling. I’m just sad that I didn’t have room to try a dessert. Hopefully next time. 🤞🏻
