I want to thank Eoin from the OPW for a fantastic tour of the war memorial Gardens this morning. Eoin is a great guide with a wealth of knowledge and sensitivity regarding the history of the site.I highly recommend this tour to everyone a hidden gem .
My favourite place to chill out in Dublin. Always peaceful, great for dog watching, close to the city and has the most beautiful gardens

One of Dublins' most beautiful parks. A must visit for locals and for tourists, especially during the summer months when all flowers are in full bloom.
This park is absolutely beautiful. People are walking and playing with their dogs peacefully. You can calm your mind by watching the amazing view or just taking a long walk. It’s just lovely

It’s quite large and has a lot of different zones e.g. picnic area by the river, rose garden, war memorial monuments, etc.

Beautiful place to visit. Unfortunately we visited in the winter so flowers were long gone but the structures there are so beautiful and the history behind them will fascinate you. This is definitely a place to visit in the warmer months but quite a peaceful walk in the colder months.
Bring a picnic and a blanket. The seclusion is amazing and so peaceful - and yet so close to the inner city. For dog walkers there is a perfect trail along the canal that is quite long.
