Drinks were so good I washed up in the river afterwards. Love Side Bar, always a deathly good time and chill crowd. Great prices too. And always some nice folks in the bathroom. Cheers.

Owner fails to take action against crime that is happening in and around their bar. It’s business like this that don’t deserve to stay alive in Austin.

Cool little place was my first time there. Bartender was really nice. They even have non-alcoholic beer for me.

I 100% was drugged here several years ago. I only had two drinks here, didn’t even finish the second one. The next thing I remember is waking up 16 hours later feeling horrible and exhausted, woken up by a million phone calls from coworkers trying to check on me as I didn’t show up for work and that was super unusual for me. I still to this day have no idea how I got home, I was a heavy drinker back then and have never once experienced anything similar while drinking. I just now came across side bars google page and seeing all of the other experiences made me feel sick to my stomach. It’s as validating as it is horrifying.

For all the idiots vouching for this establishment, joke will certainly be on you when this bar is investigated and the truth finally comes out. Shame on you all for finding this behavior okay and basically telling people it's okay to come here, just for that person to get drugged and end up dead too. Maybe you weren't drugged because you weren't good looking enough or wealthy enough or better yet because obviously not everyone is going to get drugged because that would just make it extremely obvious. Yall are a joke and should be ashamed of yourselves. Please don't go here. Your drink will end up being spiked and bad things will happen.

This place is great. Been going for years and brought tons of people here without problems. Great pours at great prices. That stupid YouTube video has no idea what they're talking about lol don't go to Sidebar if you can't handle a heavy pour 🍻

Do not go here. This place is not safe. My nephew is one of the many people who recently ordered a spiked (drugged) drink here. He was sick for days and went to an urgent care clinic. When he told the nursing staff his story they told him four other people had come in to see them sick that same week with the same story. All had ordered a drink/s here. If something similar happens to anyone you know strongly encourage them to file a police report. This bar is also discussed in a couple of YouTube documentaries regarding the local suspicious deaths and robberies involving drugged victims. Check them out, very interesting. Regardless what you do, Be careful and don’t put yourself in a vulnerable position. Be safe.
